| | | The saying reminds us that April showers lead to May blooming flowers, bringing joy and happiness. Similarly, the children of The Glen School brighten our days with their smiles and energy! As we approach the final stretch of the school year, we reflect on the wonderful memories we’ve created and look forward to the exciting activities still to come.
With the arrival of warmer weather, we encourage our students to enjoy outdoor play. Please remember to send your child to school with appropriate footwear to ensure a safe and fun experience outside. Let’s make the most of this beautiful season together! | | Student AbsencesFriendly Reminder: If your child will be absent from school, please remember to report the absence by calling the absentee line. Be sure to leave a message with your child’s name, teacher, and the reason for the absence. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
Additionally, a reminder that our school day begins at 8:45 AM. Arriving on time is essential in helping students establish a consistent routine for a successful day of learning. Thank you for your support!

Embracing the beautiful weather allows children to learn, grow, and make exciting discoveries in their environment. To celebrate the season, we have planned engaging activities that connect with our recycling and gardening units, fostering hands-on learning, and a deeper appreciation for nature.
☔ Autism Awareness Day- Autism Awareness Day is on April 2nd, and to show our unity, we encourage everyone to wear blue on that day. We will commemorate the occasion on Friday, April 4th, with engaging activities designed to raise awareness and promote kindness as our students learn about the unique characteristics of individuals with Autism. Our staff is excited to lead a meaningful day of learning, awareness, and fun!
☔ Ridgewood Board Of Health Handwashing Program- The Village of Ridgewood Health Department will join us on April 8th & April 9th to facilitate a fun, educational activity on how germs spread and the importance of handwashing.
☔ Earth Day- As Earth Day approaches on April 22nd, we will celebrate and honor our planet with activities planned to raise awareness about environmental conservation such as recycling, outdoor clean-up, and planting. We encourage all students and staff to wear green to show their support.
☔ Book Fair- The HSA sponsored spring book fair will be held on Thursday, April 24th. | | | | From the Office of Our School NurseHello Glen School Families, As we welcome Spring and the warmer weather, please keep in mind that a lot of children will experience seasonal allergies. Sometimes, for the first time. If your child suffers from known allergy symptoms, and/or takes medication for allergies, please inform myself and your child's teacher. This helps us differentiate allergies vs illness since red/itchy eyes, sore throat, runny nose and fatigue can be symptoms of both. Feel free to call me with any health related questions or concerns.
